Charles Tinker

Charles W. Tinker, Sr., 93, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018.

He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of New Monumental Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He retired from the Chattanooga Housing Authority after 39 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Greather J. Tinker; daughter, Carolyn Y. Brown; son, Charles W. (Beverly) Tinker Jr.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends. Also, special thanks to all of our neighbors who were helpful during our time of need.

Family visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at New Monumental Baptist Church. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
