Whitzell, Jerry L. (Trenton)

Jerry L. Whitzell, 51, of Trenton, died Saturday evening March 3, 2018 at his residence. He was employed with Variform of Jasper, with 15 plus years of service. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Maurine Laney Whitzell.

Surviving include his wife, Cheryl Morgan, of Trenton; son, Isaac Whitzell, or Trenton; brother, Jeff (Robin) Whitzell, of Whitwell; sister, Jill (Derrick) Brown, of Trenton; and several nieces, nephews, and his four-legged friend Pixee.

Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday, March 6 in the chapel, with Rev. Jerry Henegar officiating. Interment will follow in Browns Gap Cemetery. Family will receive friends 3-9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton.

2 Bank Tellers Say They Are Positive Walter Rice Was Gunman Who Robbed Hixson Branch

Two tellers from the Hixson branch of the Bank of America testified Tuesday they are positive that Walter Frank Rice is the individual who robbed them at gunpoint last July 25.
