  • Tuesday, March 6, 2018
The city of Chattanooga's Department of Transportation (CDOT) and their contractors will begin work on the repaving of ML King Boulevard today (Tuesday) at Central Avenue.

This commences the first phase of a four-phase, 45-day project to repave and redesign the ML King corridor. This paving and safety project will transition the number of vehicle lanes from two in each direction to one in each direction, with a center turn lane and dedicated bike lanes on either side.

For additional information, including maps, alternate route recommendations, and schedule updates on the project’s progress, please visit Connect.Chattanooga.gov/mlkblvd or call CDOT at 423-643-5950.

Mitigation assistance grants for businesses affected by the repaving schedule may be available.
