Robert Leroy Scoggins, age 92, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney L. Scoggins and Ollie M. Scoggins; sons, Randall L. Scoggins and Christopher A. Scoggins; and sister, Ovalene Scoggins.

Robert was a United States Navy veteran, he worked several years at The Chattanooga National Cemetery and retired from The VA National Cemetery System. 

Those left to cherish his memories are his spouse, Ruby M. Scoggins; children, Jeannie L. (Ralph) Everett, Cynthia J. (Constantine) Kaisharis; brothers and sisters, Max Scoggins, Sybil Stephenson; grandchildren, Amy (Dewayne) Rose, Regina S. Niznick, Alan D. Everett, Rachel (Robbie) Gresham, Christina Mussared, Christopher M. Kaisharis; great-grandchildren, Jillian (Will) Colomy, Shawn Niznick, David Rose, Lexy Niznick, Adam Mussared, Charity Mussared, Isaac Mussared, Grace Mussared, Abigail Mussared, Blake Swanson, Brian Swanson; nieces, Susan Leamon, Virginia Fowler, Murlene Sims; and nephews, Lynn Stephenson, Phil Scoggins, and Greg Scoggins. 

Family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 6. 

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Hickory Valley Community Church  at 2201 Hickory Valley Road, with Pastor Gene Butler officiating. Interment will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
