  • Wednesday, March 7, 2018

The public is invited to join Chief David Roddy and members of the Chattanooga Police Department as they give new meaning to "protect and serve" at a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser for Special Olympics.

The event will be held next Tuesday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. at Big River Grille, 222 Broad St. in Downtown Chattanooga .

Law enforcement will serve as celebrity waiters and will donate all tips they receive to Special Olympics.

"Stop in, enjoy a meal, give a tip and help support this amazing cause.  Meet some of our local athletes as they greet you when you arrive at the restaurant and thank you for your support," organizers said.
