The top assistant to District Attorney Neal Pinkston is leaving the office.
Lance Pope turned in a written two-week notice on Monday.
Melydia Clewell, office spokesperson, said Cameron Williams will become executive assistant District Attorney.
She said Colin Campbell will replace prosecutor Williams as Division III supervisor.
She said, "Colin is a veteran prosecutor in the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Office and will be moving here in a couple of months.
He has spent many years working on gang injunctions and nuisance abatements so we are excited to have him join in our efforts in those areas."
