Sheriff Jim Hammond said he took in $27,220 during the latest reporting period for the sheriff's race, while Democratic candidate Victor Miller raised $2,566 while spending $3,342.
That leaves Sgt. Miller, who is a Chattanooga Police homicide unit supervisor, with $1,428 on hand.
He has put $4,600 of his own money into the campaign. A gift of $250 from Jane Elmore was also listed.
Sheriff Hammond said he spent $12,074 and has $65,861 left.
Large Hammond contributors include $1,500 from William Miller II and Mark Schmissrauter, $1,000 from PMS Properties of Shallowford Road, Rone Regency Jewelers, Wingfield Cleaning Service of Cherry Street, Timothy Ballard, Jim Frost, D. Klasing, DeFoor Brothers Development, Joe Davenport II, Larry Rosser and Yates Towing and Recovery, $750 from Vincent Tiano and $500 from Albert Waterhouse, David R. Parker, Lonnie Hood, Athens Distributing Company, Cheryl Hutsell, Plumbers and Steamfitters and Jeffrey Morgan.
Aloyse Brown, Democratic candidate for county mayor, said she has $1,390 in hand.
County Mayor Jim Coppinger reported $22,850 received this period. That goes with $226,168 he had on hand. He spent $36,011 this period, leaving the campaign with $213,006.
He received $5,000 from the Homebuilders Association PAC, $1,500 from Tracy Cooke, Frank Kinser, Bryan DeFoor and Bill Wilkerson, $1,000 from the McCormick PAC, the Burton Schaerer Trust, Jay Bell, Russ Blakely, Sue Ann Wells, Jim Sattler, Ronald Rahn, Pam Farless and Lisa Hutcherson, $500 from Warren Logan, Michael Brady, James Pesnell, Patsy Mathews, Jeffrey Morgan and H. Ireland III.
Register of Deeds candidate Marc Gravitt did not take in any new contributions, but he has $86,855 left over from his legislative campaign funds. He is giving up the House District 30 seat. He spent $25,020 during the period on the register race.
Randy Johnston, another GOP candidate for register of deeds, took in $6,500. He said he had $2,589 previously. He spent $6,141 during the period.
Johnston contributions included $1,500 from Clint Wolford, $1,000 from Joseph Richard and Betty Marsh and $500 from Harry Harnett, MD Hospitality Group and Morrison Heart Center.
Vickie Schroyer, Democratic candidate for register of deeds, said she had $320 on hand.
