The Covenant College music department will present its Spring Festival Concert, Of Sights, Smells, and Sounds, on Thursday, April 19, at 7 p.m.. The Chattanooga Boys Choir and Choral Arts of Chattanooga will grace the Covenant stage in a collaborative concert with Covenant College choral ensembles and chamber orchestra.
Review for Of Sights, Smells and Sounds:
The concert will feature literature that depicts the beauty we experience because of the splendors of creation. In a world fraught with brokenness and violence, it is good for us to come together and be reminded of things that are lovely, admirable, and true.
Alongside the musical guests, Covenant’s choral ensembles and chamber orchestra will present “Kyrie” and “Gloria” from John Rutter’s Mass of the Children under the direction of Maestro Lok Kim.
The College anticipates this will be a night to remember as we welcome the spring season.
All are welcome to attend, free of charge. Registration to attend is available here.
The concert will take place in the Dora Maclellan Brown Chapel on Covenant’s campus. Reserved parking will be offered in the North, Sanderson, Lookout, and Ashe parking lots, with complimentary golf cart shuttles to and from the chapel. For directions, visit the campus map.
