University of Tennessee at Chattanooga freshmen Rebekah Bryant and Rebekah Hampton each jumped personal bests Friday afternoon at the Beynon Sports Catamount Classic hosted by Western Carolina in Cullowhee, N.C.

Hampton improved her distance in the long jump from 4.87 meter to 5.07 placing 14th overall. Bryant edged out her previous best jump with a distance of 4.96 meters, placing 19th.

Taylor Grayson had a season-best 41.12 meters in the hammer throw, just missing her career-best distance.

“Taylor started the meet off with a great hammer throw,” Chattanooga head coach Andy Meyer said.

“Both Rebekah Bryant and Rebekah Hampton set PRs. Coach Gadson has done an outstanding job in their season progression.”
