  • Saturday, April 14, 2018

Julia Pauline Seiferth Cronin, 66, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 11.

She was a lifelong and most beloved resident of Chattanooga, and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love to her friends and family and everyone else on this Earth who was a recipient of her warm smile and goodness. Julia was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, where she rang handbells, served on the vestry, directed the Feast of Lights, and so much more. Julia worked at UTC for over 30 years serving students’ needs, and touched so many lives there.

She was an incredibly devoted and giving mother and grandmother (Sitti). She leaves behind her daughter, Heather Osteen (Kevin), stepdaughter, Kelly Coffelt (John), sister, Susan Townsend (Brad), brother, Michael Seiferth (Jody), and grandchildren, Kate, Ellis, Carter, Katie Mae, and expected-in-June, Elliott.

She will be fiercely missed and lovingly remembered for her huge capacity for love, her wry sense of humor, and her beautiful smile.

A memorial service will be held for Julia at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, April 21, at 11 a.m. Family will be in St. George’s Chapel, adjacent to the sanctuary, to receive friends and loved ones at 10 a.m. A wake, or Celebration of Life, will follow at the home of Jody and Michael Seiferth.
