Monument Of Booker T. Washington Unveiled On Saturday

Commissioners Greg Beck, Warren Mackey, Chester Bankston and park officials and Friends of the Booker T. Washington Park gathered Saturday at noon to witness the unveiling of a monument of Booker T. Washington. 

Commissioner Bankston, who represents District 9 in which the park is located, said, “Fund raising projects for land acquisition and other programs would be the focus for the recreational needs of the park."
