Shirley Forgey-Martin
Shirley Juanita Forgey-Martin, 74, of Cleveland, passed away on April 14, 2018.
After fighting an winning three different battles with cancer, Shirley lost her fourth battle with cancer but gained her victory. She recieved the divine healing and is home with her Lord and Savior. Shirley was born in Cleveland, to Jewel and Sterl Forgey on Dec. 9, 1943. She worked for Hardwick Clothes where she retired.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel and Sterl Forgey; her husband Jack Martin; sisters Gladys King, Betty Baxter, Joyce Wilbanks; brothers, Donald Forgey, Ronald Forgey, Bobby Forgey Sterling Forgey and Dean Graham; and her grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her son, Tim R. Fowler and wife, Tyra Fowler; daughter Tammy Bales and fiance' Nemet Bandarrigi, and son Jeff Fowler; six grandchildren, Alisha Walker and husband Scotty Walker, Michael Bales and wife Erica Bales, Cassandra Fowler and Catherine Fowler; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 18, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. The funeral will be held at 12 p.m. in the chapel. Graveside service will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Garden with Pastor Barry Fowler of Cornerstone Church of God officiating and Tim R. Fowler, Jeff Fowler, Michael Bales, Scotty Walker, Nemat Bandarrigi and Lebron Ensley serving as pallbearers. Bagpipes and a dove release will conclude the service.
