A County Jail inmate is facing multiple charges after ripping out a sprinkler on Saturday.

Arthur Dillon Smith, 23, was charged with seven counts each of reckless endangerment and vandalism.

Jail officials said he was in a cell alone when he ripped the fire suppression sprinkler head rom the ceiling.

Officials said, "Not only did the fire suppression sprinkler head need to be replaced, but large sections of the fire suppression system had to be rendered non-operational for several hours while repairs were being made, endangering many other inmates."
