Flossie Ford
Flossie Gertrude Ford, 97, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2018.
She was a native of LaFollette, Tn., but lived most of her life in the Chattanooga area. Flossie was of the Baptist faith and an avid Bible reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John (Speed) and Evelyn Rydner Durham; husband, Hubert Ford, and an infant daughter, Ruby Faye Ford.
Those she left to cherish her memory are two sons, James and Charles Ford; daughters, Evelyn Johnson, Sharon Hood, Mary Howard, Phyllis Stokes, Jeanetta (Rodney) Long, Gail Shadwick and Deborah Tanner; 37 grandchildren, several great- and great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday, April 19 and 20, from 4–8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Minister Tracy Daniels officiating. Interment will follow at Peabody Cemetery in LaFollette, Tennessee.
