“Cornbread” James Lee Kendrick, 76, of Ringgold, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at his home. He was a life-long resident of the Chattanooga/North Georgia area and was of the Methodist faith. Jimmy was retired from Overnite Freight and UPS Freight, after 32 years of service. He enjoyed college football and Dale Earnhardt racing.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Pierce Kendrick; son, Alan (Carol) Kendrick, Ringgold; sister, Christine Bennett, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Kerstein Kovacevich/Ryan, Kandace Croft/Aaron and Brandon Newman; and great-granddaughters, Kylee Kovacevich and Addison Croft.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Raymond Kendrick and Rev. Rob Borders officiating. Interment will follow at Catoosa Memorial Gardens.
