Reba Swopes-Wilson
Reba Diane Swopes-Wilson, 55, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, in a local hospital.
She was a 1980 graduate of Howard High School and a member of New Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. Reba retired from Synthetic Industries after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Flemister Ervin; brothers, Jeffrey Flemister and Kerry Swopes; grandparents, Dallas and Lettie Flemister; her Nana Irene Craig.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Graylon Wilson; sons, Grylin Wilson and Ervin Swopes; daughter, Iunike (Rhonda) Stevens; eight grandchildren; father, Frank (Willie Ella) Swopes, Sr., stepfather, Columbus Ervin, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Frank Swopes, Jr. of Savannah, Ga., and Dexter Swopes of Chattanooga; sister, Cynthia White of Chattanooga; devoted cousin, Dallas (Angela) Deloach; nephew, Arthur (Bromesha) Foster; a host of godchildren; god-siblings; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
She will lie in state on Saturday, April 21, at 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 2 p.m. in Forest Hills Cemetery with Pastor Dexter Cummings as the eulogist.
