Norman Warren "Huckie" Smith
Norman Warren "Huckie" Smith, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2018, at his residence.
He was a current member of Hawkinsville Baptist Church and a former member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. Norman was a 1967 graduate of Howard High School. He excelled in academics, and sports, with many awards.
Always cherishing their memories of him are his mother, Bertha Smith; sisters, Gloria (Larry) Robinson and Jeanetta Smith, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Minister Raymond (Beverly) Smith of Huntsville, Al., and Pastor Calvin (Dornita) Smith of Norfolk, Va.; along with uncles; aunts; nephews; nieces; and other family members and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 21, from 11-12 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at noon in the chapel with Pastor Bobby Hampton of Hawkinsville Baptist Church and Pastor Ternae Jordan, Sr. of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church officiating.
Burial on Monday, April 23, at 10 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
