Thomas “T” Bandy, 84, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Friday April 20, 2018.

T was born on Sept. 23, 1933, to the late Carl and Nellie Bandy. He grew up a dairy farmer, before beginning to work as a salesman for Bunny Bread in the early 1960s. T then got a job at the Bradley County Co-op, and he stayed there for 38 years. Many also knew T from his time taking orders for the Arkansas Pond Stockers. Mr. Bandy was an award winning cornbread baker, always having people come back for more of his superb cornbread. He was very active with the Senior Center for many years. T had many hobbies, but what he enjoyed most was singing gospel hymns. He traveled around to numerous churches singing with Janie Guffey, and he always enjoyed hearing others sing as well. More than anything, T loved his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Marie Riden, Jack Bandy, and Wayne Bandy.

T leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 52 years, Maryln Bandy; children, Donna Asher and Tommy Bandy (Missy); grandchildren, Travis Massengale and Kaylee Bandy; siblings, Dorothy Gates (Gene), Norma Earls, Wilma Rudd (Hugh), and Wanda Johnson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 24, from 2-5 p.m. at the Standfield Baptist Church at 1549 No Pone Road, Georgetown, Tn. 37336.

A celebration of life funeral service will begin at 5 p.m. at the church, with Pastor Eric Geren officiating.

Following the service, T will be laid to rest in the Standfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Standfield Baptist Church, 1549 No Pone Road, Georgetown, Tn. 37336.

You are invited to share a personal memory of T or your condolences with his family at his online memorial at www.companionfunerals.com.
