A four-some from Nashville with at least one Chattanooga close connection glistened on the Songbirds Museum stage on Friday night.

Farewell Angelina drew friends, family and fans from Atlanta, Birmingham and the Scenic City for their first appearance here on the museum's North Stage at the Choo Choo..

The four beauties - each with powerful voices - met while each was pursuing a solo career in Nashville. Close friends Nicole Witt, Andrea Young, Lisa Torres and Lauren Lucas decided to get together, and they have been making their mark while touring the country.

They've opened for stars like Trace Atkins and Kenny Chesney and performed the National Anthem for Thursday Night Football.

Their fans helped them nab a "Hot Seat" spot on the Taste of Country 2017 "RISERS" program by over 20,000 Facebook votes. They said they are excited to currently be in recording mode, including some tunes members of the group penned.

On the Chattanooga stage they introduced for the first time a captivating song written just for them by talented songwriter Levi Lowrey. Afterward, an audience member rose and said, "That's your song. You own it."

Nicole and Lisa displayed their fiddle skills on their "Radioactive" mainstay, and they closed out the first set with the crowd-pleaser "House of the Rising Sun."

In a night of bantering with the close-quarters audience, "Not My Baby" was dedicated to a man in the crowd who had just gone through a divorce.

Two of their husbands - one with a "papoose" - were at the show along with two of their fathers. Lisa proudly said her dad is from Chattanooga. With a song dedicated to fathers, the country singers noted that two of their fathers are military veterans.

Farewell Angelina - named after a haunting Bob Dylan song that was recorded by Joan Baez - was certainly good enough for a standing ovation and an encore.

Afterward, Lauren noted, "You have an amazing performance hall here that brings local and national groups. Come back again and again to support it.":

To catch Farewell Angelina next, you'll have to go to Walla Walla, then to Durango.
