St. Andrew’s-Sewanee Girls 1st, Boys 2nd At Track Tri-Meet

St. Andrew’s-Sewanee girls were first in a home track competition, while the St. Andrew's-Sewanee boys were second.

Franklin County High School and Cascade High School took part in the meet.

The final girls score was SAS 59, FC 27, and CHS 3. The boys score was FC 54, SAS 42, and CHS 6.

SAS had top three finishes in the following boys’ events: 800 2nd senior Jack Simons (Sewanee, TN); 200 3rd junior Davis Gill (South Pittsburg, TN); 400 2nd sophomore Eli Andrews (Sewanee, TN); 100 3rd Davis Gill; 110 Hurdles 2nd senior Bailey McLean (Sewanee, TN); 300 Hurdles 2nd Bailey McLean; 1600 3rd freshman Michael Vaughn (Winchester, TN); 3200 1st Eli Andrews; High Jump 1st senior Emmanuel Thombs (Raleigh, NC); Shot Put 1st junior Jalen Tillman (Parkville, MD), 2nd senior Justin Elgouhary (Manchester, TN); Discus 2nd Jalen Tillman, 3rd Justin Elgouhary; and 4x100 1st Emmanuel Thombs, Justin Elgouhary, Davis Gill, and freshman Curtis Gill (South Pittsburg, TN).

SAS had top three finishes in the following girls’ events: 1600 1st junior Sophia Patterson (Sewanee, TN); 3200 1st Sophia Patterson; 300 Hurdles 1st sophomore Sarah Beth Hobby (South Pittsburg, TN); 400 2nd freshman Sarah Grace Burns (Sewanee, TN), 3rd sophomore Lucy Carroll (Sewanee, TN); 4x100 1st Sarah Beth Hobby, Lucy Carroll, sophomore Nneka Okolo (Medina, TN), and Jayla McLaurin (Las Vegas, NV); 100 3rd Nneka Okolo; 100 hurdles 1st Sarah Grace Burns, 2nd Jayla McLaurin; 800 1st senior Lyndsey Wall (Winchester, TN); High Jump 1st Sarah Grace Burns; Discus 1st sophomore Isabelle Gordy (Sewanee, TN), 2nd Sarah Beth Hobby; Shot Put 1st Sarah Beth Hobby, 2nd Isabelle Gordy.

The SAS teams’ next competition will be Regionals at Chattanooga Christian on May 8 for Field Events and the 3200. All other events will follow on Thursday, May 10.
