George Webster

George Elmer Webster, 86, of McDonald, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018.

Mr. Webster was a member of Cedar Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church. 

Mr. Webster is survived by his wife, Lin, pet Pixie, daughters Sharon Rogers of Collegedale, Rhonda Littell (Michael) of Portland, Tn, Joy Lowery (Skip) of Augusta, Ga.; half brother H.F. Cross (Bobbi) of Elizabethton, Tn.; stepchildren Heather (Craig) Jackson of Lafayette, Ga., Alyson (Rusty) Carr of Hendersonville, N.C.; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two step-great- grandchildren. 

Mr. Webster worked at Southern Publishing Association, Greyline Bus Tous, and Brown Stove Works. Mr. Webster served two years in the United States Army from 1952-1954 during the Korean War. Many thanks to Avalon Hospice of Cleveland. We will always carry your memory in our hearts. 

The family will receive friends at the Cedar Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church at 8408 Highway 60, Georgetown, Tn. 37336, on Wednesday, May 16, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church following visitation at 12 p.m. Interment will take place at the Chattanooga National Cemtery at 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, Tn. 37404 at 2:30 p.m. with full military honors.

Trustee Hullander Says Airbnb Will Remit Hotel/Motel Tax Directly To His Office; It Has 600 Local Hosts With $7 Million Annual Income

Trustee Bill Hullander said Wednesday that Airbnb has agreed to directly remit hotel/motel tax for its 600 hosts in Hamilton County to his office. Mr. Hullander said prior to the agreement that his office had difficulty locating those renting out rooms or homes and had just 90 on the books.
