Walden Security Earns ISO Recertification To New 9001:2015 Standard

  • Friday, May 18, 2018

Walden Security has completed a recertification audit of its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. The achievement ensures that Walden Security maintains certification for the next three years.

“It is our commitment to always do what we say we will," said Michael S. Walden, CPP, president of Walden Security. "Our recertification to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard exemplifies Walden Security’s dedication to the overall quality of our operations. It means our customers can rely on Walden Security to deliver exceptional security services and always do what’s right.”

ISO certification confirms that the Walden Security QMS applies formal business practices and measurable quality standards in areas such as human resources, training, operations, customer service, documentation and contract compliance. During the third-party audit by American Systems Registrar, Walden Security’s QMS was reviewed to ensure proper implementation, procedure compliance and proof of continuous process improvements, as required by the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The new ISO 9001:2015 standard incorporates proven process improvement methods used by innovative companies around the world, said officials.

Although nearly 8,000 security firms operate in the United States, Walden Security is one of the only security firms that has made the investment of time and resources to meet ISO quality standards.

“Walden Security has been dedicated to company-wide quality assurance since Mike and Amy Walden founded the company nearly 30 years ago," said Tom Shipley, director of Quality Assurance at Walden Security. "I appreciate the commitment of our team members who have continued to do the hard work required to maintain our certification for 15 years.”
