Attorney Mike Caputo Dies From Lingering Effects Of Motorcycle Accident

Prominent Chattanooga attorney Mike Caputo has died from the lingering effects of a motorcycle accident.

Attorney Caputo, who focused on criminal law, was 72.

He was on his motorcycle when he was struck by a vehicle about two months ago.

He suffered foot injuries that required surgery with pins and screws. They were recently removed, but he later developed an infection and blood clots.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, in the Heritage Funeral Home chapel with Minister Denny Howell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
