Affinity 42 Hosts Summer Reading Smash During Farmer And Artisan Market

Affinity 42 Foundation announced Tuesday it will be hosting a Summer Reading Smash during the Farmer and Artisan Market on Thursday, May 17, from 2-7 p.m. on the grounds of Poe’s Tavern at 9817 Dayton Pike in Soddy-Daisy. 

The focus will be on providing access to students area to summer reading books in north Hamilton County and south Rhea County. Barnes & Noble Hamilton Place will be on hand, selling these titles, as well as books for all ages. The sale is a book fair fundraiser for Affinity 42 and proceeds will go toward operating costs for their work in the community.  

In addition, to Barnes & Noble, United Way of Greater Chattanooga will be signing up children under age five for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library as well as doing free Learning Check-Ups. 

READ20 will be doing an all day story time with the Readmobile, along with crafts and activities. A variety of superheroes and princesses from Children of Joy will be helping with story time and photos.
