Kenneth Ray Dover, 76, of LaFayette, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018. He was born in Jasper to the late Alford Allen Dover and Helen Nancy Billingsley Evans. He was a longtime resident of Rossville, where he was the owner/operator of Dover’s Garage on Wilson Road for over 50 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed woodworking and racing at Boyd’s Speedway.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Bell Tanner Dover, of Lafayette; children, Gene Ray Dover, of Rossville, Karen Sue (William) Carr, of Livingston, Tn., Amy (Jim) Lackey of Cleveland; sisters, Joyce Billingsley and Phyllis Miller, both of Jasper; grandchildren, Nathan Ray Dover, Amanda, Sarah and Jimmy Lackey, Kim Warnack and Liza Jane Carr; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held graveside at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3 at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park, Rossville.
