Herbert Lee Floyd, Jr. “Pie”, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018, in a local hospital.

 He was a member of St. Ruth Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a trustee, deacon, usher and bus ministry chairman. Herbert was employed with NewBold Services (Duracell) in Cleveland, Tennessee as a maintenance supervisor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Virginia Floyd, Sr.; sister, Cynthia James; brother, Ronnie Floyd.

He leaves to cherish his memory devoted wife, Georgetta Knox Floyd; son, Frederick (Brenda) Tiller; Chicago, Il.; daughters, Yashika Baker and Vonnetta Lynn (Greg) King, of Chattanooga; sister, The Reverend Sandra James (Leon), Johnson of Abingdon, Va.; brothers, Gary (Terryl) James, Michael (Janet Houston) James, Anthony Floyd and Larry Floyd, all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Aijalon Springs and KiShon King, of Chattanooga; brothers-in-law, John (Dora) Ingram of Chicago, Harry Davis of Laurel, MD, Willie Knox of Memphis, and Anthony Knox of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 25, from 6–7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 26, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Calvin Walker as eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
