Jacob Keith Woodby, 38, of Fort Myers, Florida, and formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018.

A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he has been a resident of Fort Myers for the past 15 years where he attended Estero Baptist Church.  He was a long time employee of O’Brien Auto Team and enjoyed golfing, football, the beach, music, grilling out and most of all, spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by paternal-grandparents, Donald William and Gloria M. Woodby and maternal-grandfather, William E. McCarter.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, James “Ken” Woodby and Laura Ann Woodby; mother, Mary Renee Woodby; his partner, Christina Dawes; children, Job Kyle Woodby, Evan Dawes and Ashlyn Dawes; sister, Jessica Woodby-Denema and her husband Peter; maternal grandmother, Nelda V. McCarter; several Uncles and Aunts.          

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, May 24, in the Valley View Chapel with the Reverend Chad Chandler of Greenwood Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald, Tn.

The family will receive friends from 3–8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, and from 10 a.m. till the time of service on Thursday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
