Road Construction Closures Announced For Wednesday

Tuesday, May 22, 2018
Passenger Street between Main Street and Johnson Street will be closed from Wednesday until Friday for utility work. Detours will be posted.

East 7th Street between Walnut Street and Cherry Street will be closed from 8:30 a.
m. until 4 p.m.
 on Wednesday, for utility work. Detour will be posted.

Guild Trail between Ochs Highway and W 45th Street will be closed from Wednesday, until Friday, for utility work. Detours will be posted.

League Of Women Voters Announces Walks And Bike Rides To Early Voting

The League of Women Voters of Chattanooga, in conjunction with the UTC Campus Recreation Department, the campus group Mocs Go Vote 2018 and the Save the Children Action Network, is holding “Exercise Your Right!” events  during the early voting period in Hamilton County. City "Moves Away" From $4 Million Light Show On Walnut Street Bridge

The city is no longer pursuing a plan for a $4,050,000 light show on the Walnut Street Bridge. Dennis Malone, assistant city engineer, told City Council members on Tuesday, "We have moved away from that project." Developer Of Publix Grocery At St. Elmo To Go Before Variance Board

The developer of a planned Publix grocery in St. Elmo will go before the City Board of Zoning Appeals on Nov. 7 seeking three variances. Mike Price of MAP Engineers said the grocery has been working with community members to try to come up with an acceptable plan for the site where the former Mt.
