Erlanger's Profits - And Response

  • Wednesday, May 23, 2018

It is good news about Erlanger's record income, but we need to understand that our county and city government should not pay, if they are paying currently, taxpayers’ money to Erlanger.

Plus, if Erlanger is making a profit, it would be advisable to cut the fees charged to patients, especially charges for unnecessary test procedures during emergency visits.

Now we know why Erlanger was in a loss five to 10 years ago. They were giving away big bonuses to senior executives and laying off low-paid workers. The board members were not doing the job for the citizens.

I would advise you to look up the definition of revenue and compare it to the definition of profits before you start lambasting their executives and offering advice to our elected leaders. Otherwise, you might end up looking like you don't know what you are talking about.
