The Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place hosted John Farrimond with AMPUP Nonprofit Consulting as the featured speaker at a recent meeting. The topic discussed was The Accelerating Nonprofit Crunch - Realities and Strategies, highlighting the importance of appropriate board oversight, defining and aligning core purpose, impact of tax bill and policy and fundraising strategies and outcomes.
The Club also celebrated a club member who achieved the Paul Harris Fellow recognition. Pam Garrett McAllister was recognized as being a first time Paul Harris Fellow. Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
"During the past 100 years, the Rotary Foundation has spent $3 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects such as efforts towards the eradication of polio, training future peacemakers, supporting clean water and strengthening local economics. The Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place is proud to announce Pam as a Paul Harris Fellow," officials said.
