Joseph Allen Towns, age 85, passed away May 23, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Towns; great-grandson, Wyatt Walraven; parents, Dee and Evelyn Towns; sister, Mary Privitt; and brother, Howard Towns.
He is survived by his daughter, Loretta (Jerry) Floyd, of Rising Fawn; sons, Carleton Towns, of Rising Fawn and Jeff (Kathy) Towns, of Trenton; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Maggie Black, Ruby Green and Audrey Gibbs; brothers, Frank Towns, David Towns and Roger Towns; and nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 27 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother Mark Finlayson officiating. Interment will be held in Prince Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
