D'Kobe Jordan
D'Kobe Jordan, 19, was shot and killed on Sunday in Alton Park.
Chattanooga Police responded at 6:26 p.m. to 101 W. 38th St. on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, police found the teen lying dead in a parking lot from apparent gunshot wounds.
Police said Jordan was armed with a handgun and was using it to threaten another man in the parking lot.
Police stated, "A gun carry permit holder saw the threatening behavior and intervened in an attempt to protect the life of the man being threatened. Some witnesses and the parties directly involved cooperated with the police investigation. Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating this incident."
Last June, Jordan was charged with criminal homicide and attempted murder in a shooting at a gas station on Glenwood Drive. Three people were shot in the incident and D'Angelo Marshall, 20, died after being shot in the head. Michael Benning, 18, was shot in the left arm by Jordan.
The charges against Jordan were later dismissed in General Sessions Court after it could not be determined who fired first.
