Sangria On The Bluff To Include Authentic Spanish Cuisine

  • Monday, May 7, 2018

La Paz Chattanooga will host its annual Sangria on the Bluff fundraising and cultural event on Thursday, May 17. Spain will be the featured country this year, acknowledging the root of Hispanic heritage and its influence on what we know as Latin America. Spanish culture will be showcased through live dance performances from Caló Gitano, music, and fresh sangria and food.

Along with the chance to sample sangrias prepared by four local restaurants, attendees will have the chance to enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine.

Food is a key part of Spanish culture. Spain is home to some of the world’s top restaurants and is celebrated for its culinary and vinicultural achievements, said organizers. Ovalle’s One Plate at a Time, Embargo 62, Terra Nostra Tapas & Wine, and High Haute Foods will recreate several authentic dishes. Guests will try a variety of paellas, tapas, and desserts.

Sangria on the Bluff will be from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at the Hunter Museum of American Art. Tickets may be purchased for $85 online at www.lapazchattanooga.org/sangria

Sponsors include: 3H Group, Atlantic Capital, Coca-Cola, Erlanger Health Systems, Kelly Subaru, and First Tennessee
