Container Gardening Is Topic At Green Thumb Garden Club

The Green Thumb Garden Club of Ooltewah is featuring Tom Stebbins, Hamilton County master gardener, who will speak on “Container Gardening” including interesting pots and raised beds for flowers and vegetables. 

The Garden Club will meet in the Garden Plaza of Greenbriar Cove Collegedale/Ooltewah, in the multi-purpose room on Monday, May 21, at 7 p.m. at at 9586 Forsythia Way, Ooltewah. 

First time visitors are welcomed free of cost. Membership is $15 a year.

Authorities Say Hixson Man Shot And Killed His 15-Year-Old Son On Saturday Night; Also Killed Family Dog

Authorities said a Hixson man shot and killed his 15-year-old son on Saturday night. A report says Mike McElrath, 46, who was found naked at a neighbor's house, also killed the family dog.
