Dawn Hurt
Dawn Mechele Hurt, 43, of Chattanooga, entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 3, 2018.
Mechele was a graduate of Tyner High School, Class of 1992. She earned the Associate’s degree from Chattanooga State Technical Community College and Nursing License (LPN) at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. She joined the membership of Second Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Most recently she served as a member of the Nurses’ Guild. Survivors include her sons, John Nolan, Terrell Borders, and Jermaine Borders; father, William Douglas Hurt, II; stepmother, Roslyn Hurt; brother, William Douglas Hurt, III; devoted aunt, Mattie F. McKenzie; loving cousin, Carol A. McKenzie; five aunts; four uncles; and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 8, at 10 a.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at noon with Dr. Ernest L. Reid, Jr. as the eulogist.
