Authorities said Timothy Poole was shot in Hixson on Friday night in what was described as a domestic incident.

James Jones, 71, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the 7500 block of Hixson Pike for the report of a person shot.
