Monday, June 11, 2018 - by Andrew Mindeman
The Covenant men's tennis team and senior Matthew Harvie both ended the year ranked in the ITA's Atlantic South Region poll. Covenant finished the year ranked No. 17 in the region, while Harvie also earned a No. 17 ranking.

Covenant was one of five USA South members ranked in the final poll, while Harvie was one of three individual players to finish the year ranked.

As a team, Covenant (15-5) was ranked in each of the four polls that were released after the spring season started. The Scots started out at No. 20 in the March 29 poll, but moved up to 17th in the next ranking and stayed there the rest of the year. The rankings marked the first time the program garnered a regional ranking in its history. The Scots' 15 victories this season set a program record as they clinched a second straight USA South West Division regular season title.

Harvie capped a storied career for the Scots and finishes ranked 17th in the region. The senior was 17th over the final two polls of the year, the highest region ranking he had ever received. For his career, Harvie was regionally ranked by the ITA in nine polls.

Harvie went 16-2 in singles play and 19-2 in doubles, with playing partner Chris Cox, in 2018. Harvie wrapped up his career with 51 singles wins, and the program's career record for winning percentage, to go along with 54 doubles wins.

Am I Alone? - And Response (5)

Am I alone seems to be quite apt as I begin to form sentences, thoughts and concerns regarding the state of this country. I feel like I am alone trying, somehow, to justify Trump and understand why he is constantly in the middle of chaos.  Now coined as the Liar-in-Chief, Chief Foreign Affairs Coordinator acting for his pal Russian Dictator, Putin.  The silence ...
