Fulton, Vera Mae Nicholson

Vera Mae Nicholson Fulton, 87, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018. She was of the Baptist faith. She served the Lord for many years in the music ministry, singing and playing the piano and organ in many different types of services. Heaven has to be ringing beautifully with the music she is playing from the piano. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, R.W. and Carrie Nicholson; husband, Ernest H. Fulton; sister, Evelyn Smith; and brother, George W. Nicholson.

Vera is survived by her children, Angela (Freddy) Huey, Greg (Suann) Fulton and Vanessa Kilgore; sister, Myrtle Copeland; grandchildren, Chad Brewer, Michelle Kilgore, Anthony Fulton, Jessica (Matt) Nowlin and Victor A. Huey (Adrianne Faxon); great-grandchildren, Shelby L. Nowlin, Grant Nowlin, Carter Huey and several others; nieces, Cathy Carter and Linda Goins; and nephew, Mark A. Smith.

Special thanks to Caris Hospice of Ringgold, all the nurses and staff, especially Barbara, Karen and Megan. Also special thanks to her healthcare providers, Amanda Gaddis and Corina Mapp.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 15 at Center Point Cemetery, with Pastor Terry Burns officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 14 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family has requested no flowers and no plants.
