Evelyn Elizabeth Moss, age 90, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday morning, June 12, 2018 at the Chatsworth Health Care. 

Evelyn was born Aug. 18, 1927 in Rabbit Valley section of Whitfield County, Ga., a daughter of the late Theodore and Willie Mae Harrell Boling.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Edward Moss; and sons, Jimmy Moss and Billy Moss; sisters, Dorothy Hughes and Mary Helen Bogen; and a brother, Jerry Boling.  

Evelyn worked many years at Aladdin Mills. 

She is survived by her son and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Sheila Moss of Dalton, Kay Moss of Chatsworth; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Ruth Boiling of Chatsworth; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and James Wilbanks of Ringgold; grandchildren, Shannon and Shane Stepp, Stephanie Moss, Billy “BJ” and Lydia Moss, Angela and Randy Brock, Michelle and Dennis Green, Traci Ramos, Randy Ballew, Michael Ballew and David Ballew; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Cody, Gage, Maddie, Maverick, Jaxson and Korbyn; and several nieces and nephews. 

Services to celebrate the life of Evelyn Elizabeth Moss will be held Friday, June 15, at 2 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Eddie Killion officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Dunagan Cemetery with Reverend Lonnie Starnes in charge of burial rites. Billy “BJ” Moss, Cody Kendrick, Shane Stepp, Dennis Green, Kaitlin Portwood and Angela Brock serving as  pallbearers.   

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and after 11 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
