  • Thursday, June 14, 2018

PEAK, Placing Emphasis Around Kids, a local nonprofit, will host its annual free basketball enrichment camp on Saturday. This is the fourth year for the camp.

The clinic averages about 100 kids a year. It gives a camper developmental skills, life enrichment, a T-shirt, medals and lunch.

It will be held at Notre Dame High School from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. It is for kids ages 7-17 and the camp is free.

"My organization is also doing our annual presentation for the Pamela L Price Book Scholarship, which consist of two $600 book scholarships to a male and female senior to assist with their college books," said founder LaDarius Price.  "It's in remembrance of my mom."

PEAK has also distributed over 200 brand new coats in Hamilton County schools the last three school years. Saturday will be a good day highlighting some of what PEAK is doing.
