3 Arrested On Sex Trafficking Charges; 15-Year-Old Girl Is Rescued

Three people have been charged with using a 15-year-old girl for sex trafficking in Chattanooga.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said it was requested on Thursday to assist in the investigation of suspected human trafficking by the local Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). 

The investigation focused on human trafficking activity occurring over the past two weeks in and around motels in the vicinity of Lee Highway and Bonny Oaks Drive.

The investigation led to the removal of the 15-year-old girl from individuals who were using her for commercial sex trafficking.

Arrested on numerous sex trafficking charges were Savannah Paige Grissum, 20, of 42 Nate Trail, Dallas, Ga.; Alonzo Dean Westmoreland, 29, of 101 Merritt Circle, Dallas, Ga., and Charles Edward Battle, 21, of 701 E. 49th St. All were charged with five counts of trafficking for commercial sex and one count of promoting prostitution. They all remain in the Hamilton County Jail.
