L2 Outside To Host 3rd Annual Post-Riverbend River Clean Up

L2 Outside will host the third annual Post-Riverbend River Clean Up on Saturday, from 7-9 a.m.

 

Volunteers will launch in groups from the public launch site underneath Market Street  Bridge in Coolidge Park.

L2 Outside is dedicated to helping to provide clean waterways, and will be donating 25 stand up paddle boards and 10 kayaks to assist volunteers in the effort, as well as providing breakfast after the event. Volunteers may also bring their own kayak or paddle board, and are encouraged to RSVP.


This year L2 Outside will expand efforts by partnering with Wild Trails, Chattanooga Cycleboats, and Chattanooga Paddleboards.

A Jury For 2nd Time Convicts Randall Reed Of Murdering 70-Year-Old Woman In 2011

A jury for the second time has convicted Randall Reed of first-degree murder in the 2011 death of 70-year-old Jane Stokes in East Ridge. The verdict was returned in the courtroom of Judge Tom Greenholtz’s on Friday. The earlier verdict had been thrown out by an appeals court. Reed testified in his own behalf.
