Local film writer and director Abigail Blake will host a fashion show featuring twenty local women of all ages, colors, shapes and sizes as a fundraiser for her upcoming short film. The event will be held at University of Tennessee Chattanooga - Auditorium on Friday.
The film, to be produced by Theeves Productions and shot in Chattanooga, will explore the issue of sexual assault from a female’s perspective and hope to change common misconceptions surrounding the topic.
The fashion show is sponsored by All Dressed Up (located in Hixson) owned by Cheron Douglas. Ms. Douglas has donated all 40 dresses to be featured at the fashion show. Ms. Blake and Ms.Douglas will also be making a large donation to Partnership for Families, Children and Adults - a local non-profit that seeks to help rape and domestic violence victims.
Along with the fashion show, there will be a silent auction and a preview of Ms. Blake’s upcoming film to be released later this year, and ready for the independent film festival circuit for 2019.
Silent Auction starts at 6:30 p.m. Fashion show starts at 7:15 p.m.
