Wilson Pickett Charged In Burglary At First Lutheran Church

Police have charged Wilson Pickett, 60, of Mableton, Ga., with breaking into First Lutheran Church on McCallie Avenue.

Police were told that a black male wearing a blue shirt had forced his way into the church and was possibly breaking or throwing something in the church.

Upon arrival officers saw Pickett sitting outside the rear door of the church with cranberry juice and two Nutra grain bars.

A female church employee said she was working at the church when Pickett forced his way in the front door. made his way to the second level, and broke a window.

She said he took the juice and bars from the kitchen.

Pickett was charged with aggravated burglary.
