Mike Camp, age 70, of Shady Lane, Trion, Georgia, passed away Friday afternoon, June 1, 2018, at his residence following a brief illness.
Born in Trion on Sept. 22, 1947, he was a son of the late Furman (Fat) Camp and Robbie Greenwood Camp. He was baptist by faith, was a sergeant in the United States Marines serving in Viet Nam, and was retired manager of the Cloth Room of Mount Vernon Mills with 30 years of service.
Mr. Camp was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Camp.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Camp; daughter, Lee Evans; granddaughter, Rae Williams; great-grandson, Clayton Williams; daughter-in-law, Chrystal Camp; granddaughter, Macie Camp; grandson, Hayden Camp; and several cousins also survive.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 5, at 1 p.m. from the graveside in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Speakers will be Mrs. Rae Williams, Mr. John Dennis, and Mr. Steve Roach.
The family will receive friends Monday, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
