Police said a shirtless man with a baseball bat went on a rampage in North Chattanooga on Monday.
Jonathan Mauric Strickland, 49, of 1920 Gunbarrel Road, was charged with aggravated burglary, public intoxication, vandalism, possessing a controlled substance, and having a weapon during the commission of a felony.
Police were told that a man with no shirt was on Jarnigan Avenue with a baseball bat. He had broken out a car window as well as a glass door on a house and window and screen on the house.
He was said to be yelling that Moses had taken his girlfriend.
The man had left the scene, but then police heard a man come out of a nearby residence yelling. He said the man with the bat was inside his home.
Strickland then came out of the house. He dropped the bat and was taken into custody.
Police said he was still talking about Moses taking his girlfriend.
He was found with a small bag of meth.
The man at the house said the shirtless man came inside and went upstairs wielding the ball bat. He said he talked him into going downstairs, then ran past him outside.
