Someone let me know if I read this wrong please. Chattanooga City Council adopts plan to award $15,000 to assist homeless veterans, and wants to spend $4 million on a new lighting system for the Walnut Street Bridge.

Think about that and let it sink in.

Does the Council need to reassess priorities?

County Schools Delay Start 1 Hour Due To Flooding; Numerous Roads Flooded Or Experiencing Standing Water

Hamilton County Schools delayed the start of school one hour on Wednesday due to heavy rains overnight that flooded some roads in the area.  Public safety officials are reporting several trees across roads which may cause some buses to be rerouted.  The one extra hour will provide daylight to make the trip to school safer for buses and young student drivers, officials ... Criminal Court Judge Don Poole has denied a new trial for a man convicted of a 2010 murder.
