Thomas G. “Tommy” Johnson, 70, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away on July 10, 2018, after a recent illness and a lifelong battle with diabetes.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1947, to the late Kenneth and Flora Johnson. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dee and Bill Johnson and sisters, Mary Collins and Venona Holder.

Tommy was retired from the Cleveland Bank & Trust Company after a career in computer programming. He loved the lake, boating and motorcycles. Tommy was devoted to family, friends and community, having lived in the Birchwood area most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Johnson, stepson, Shane Key, sister, Norma Burdette and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, July 13, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 13, in the funeral home with Chad Chandler officiating.
