Guffey, Phillip Dale (Trenton)

Phillip Dale Guffey, 57, of Trenton, was born July 23, 1960 and passed away at Memorial Hospital on Tuesday July 11, 2018 surrounded by family due, to complications with leukemia. Mr. Guffey was a graduate of Northwest Georgia High School Class of ’78. He was retired from International Wire Group of Trenton as a lead quality auditor.

Mr. Guffey was preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Mae Dean Guffey; and a special cousin, Bobby Guffey.

Surviving include his son, Bo (Jessica) Guffey; brothers, Wayne (Sandra) Guffey, Jackie (Pat) Guffey, Timmy (Paula) Guffey and Lamar (Myra) Guffey; sisters, Debbie (Keith) Randles and Beverly (Randy) Scott; also several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday July 14 in the chapel, with Bro. Wayne Guffey and Bro. Edwin Spurgeon officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from -9 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton.

A Soddy Daisy couple reported a theft at their residence netted thieves over $56,000 in items.
