Goldsmith, Willie Taylor, Jr. (Ringgold)

Willie Taylor Goldsmith Jr., 83, of Ringgold, passed away at his home, surrounded by family, Thursday July 12, 2018. He was a resident of North Georgia for the past 40 years, and a member of Calvary Memorial Baptist Church. Willie was retired from the U.S. Army after 23 and a half years of service. He also retired from Walker Correctional Institution after 18 years of service.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Goldsmith; one sister; and three brothers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Rebecca Goldsmith; sons, Billy (Vicky) Goldsmith, Richee (Paula) Goldsmith and Curtis (Tiffany) Goldsmith; daughters, Pandora (Jim) McDevitt; brother, Marty Goldsmith; sisters, Mildred Benefield, Debbie Evans and Bonnie Elkins; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Eric Greeson officiating and Jim McDevitt reading the eulogy.
